Very happy with the team at Doonane, our dog regularly stays with them and she's always delighted to see them. Love checking the photos they share and seeing that she's having a great time.

Milli @ Sammi have spent many happy times in Doonane in the care of Emma and the team. Milli & Sammi are mature ladies and they generally don’t respond well to being away from home but they love Doonane. It’s such a comfort to know they are happy and well looked after. I love looking at the daily photos and videos showing them either lolling around or out for their lovely walks. Doonane is a very special place.

We have been sending our dog, Arlo to day care in Doonane for a few months. He is always so excited when he arrives. So great to know he is being well looked after. Couldn't recommend them enough!

Doggy heaven. Charlie has been going up there since he was six months old, he's now 12. He barks to get into the kennels when we turn the corner when he realises where he's going.

My two dogs love staying at Doonane. I never have to worry about them when I am away as I know they are looked after. They get so excited every time they arrive. I wouldn’t send them anywhere else!

Website says it's open for new dogs. I emailed a month ago enquiring if our rescue could be assessed for suitability. I received a same day reply asking for more detail on my dog. I sent a lengthy response explaining all the details of our situation and hoped they would understand the struggles my dog has been through trying to find the right kennels. He really is such a wonderful dog. He's just had terrible experiences in kennels in the past and needs to find one that suits him where he will be safe. It took me about 15 mins to draft what I thought was a considered and detailed response but they never replied. It really doesn't reflect well on this business. Most dogs are worthy of consideration, or at the very least an email back explaining why they aren't.

Have been a customer for a few years now, they really take care of the dog, never any issue and plenty of photos supplied on Facebook (if you consent) to show me how our hound is getting on!

I don’t go away often without my 2 dachshunds, but when I do they are left with Emma in Doonane , Harley and Hunter absolutely love going in.

Both our boys have stayed with Emma many times and absolutely had the time of their lives . They treat your woofs with such care and love .

Doonane is a fabulous place for your dog. Our Ellie has had a fantastic time there on her holidays where she was so well looked after and came back to us in great form. The lovely staff kept us so well informed about how she was getting on and it was wonderful to be able to leave her and not have to worry at all. Doonane is very special, we're so glad we found it!

I have been sending my three dogs to Doonane for several years now. Doonane was recommended to me by a dog trainer I would bump into occasionally on walks. I knew that he had a very high standard for his own dogs' care and I trusted him (and still do). Fircroft boarding kennels had just closed and I was desperately searching for somewhere else. How lucky I was to have found Doonane! My dogs don't even give a backward glance when we drop them off (well, Baxter does but that's more a case of "aren't you staying too") Our chihuahua, Lily, is a rescue and really nervous but she trots right in and starts sniffing around happily. Doonane has become a home away from home for them. It's their holiday camp, if you like. We can totally relax because we know they're being well cared for and loved. Bonnie, our Cavalier King Charles, is happy and and always looks totally stress-free in the many photographs they post on Instagram. Baxter gets to run around with all his new friends. They can go paddling in the large pond on warm days. Best of all, they're not locked up in a kennel all day but wandering around free and well supervised. At the end of their stay I book them in for a groom so when we pick them up all three of them are happy, relaxed and looking gorgeous. Emma and the gang at Doonane are AMAZING!!!!!! And we're SO SO grateful to them.

Doonane is the best place for your dogs to board if you are looking for them to be well socialised with other dogs, plus caring dog minders. The dogs have the best time here and will sleep for days when you get them home! They are so well exercised and looked after. Emma has the biggest heart and cares for all of the dogs as if they were her own. I, 100% recommend Doonane.

Emma and all the staff are just brilliant with all the dogs. We have been sending our dog to daycare for years and she is just so happy to go there. Jumps out of the car and runs in - doesn’t even look back . We have also left her there while on holidays and I’m not sure who had the better holiday!! Doonane is just a fabulous kennels and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending doonane for anybody looking for kennels. It was the best thing we ever did.

Home from home ❤️ Emma and the team are wonderful with Charlie and we have been going to Doonane since Charlie was a pup . 11 years on and Charlie loves visiting and the sleep overs ❤️

Our lives are sorted after we found about this kennel. The day I first started entered their estate, it seemed as if we entered a holiday home up on the mountains. It’s truly a dog’s paradise when it comes to day boarding or leaving our dog with them for days when we are away. Our dog, Coco loved it there and we are surely leaving him in safe hands. Would definitely recommend 🙂

Can’t think of a better place for our dog Buddy. We have been trusting Emma and the team with Buddy and Bowie(now in rainbow heaven) for nearly6 or 8 years .They never wanted to come home. Buddy was there for 14 nights in April and 5 nights in July of 2023 .He is so well looked after and the team is are truly wonderful .Couldn't imagine a better place when you go away. Wouldn't leave my dogs anywhere else. Service and staff are second to none. They encourage you to come in and view the kennels and land so you can see exactly where your dog will be sleeping and playing. The place was spotless and so much room for them to walk and run. My dogs are always so excited when they reach the gate in and never want to leave. Couldn't recommend this place enough.
